Leading up to Children’s Day in Singapore on October 6, LingoAce and Haidilao teamed up to create a Chinese cultural and language immersion experience.
For three weeks, we set up pop-up booths as several Haidilao restaurants (313 Somerset, Marina Square, City Square and Downtown East) to host a series of interactive learning activities for children. This included a lesson about the culinary tradition and history of hotpot, which was adapted from LingoAce’s popular special class on Chinese culture, “Let’s Eat Yummy Chinese Food.”
For LingoAce families in Singapore, we gave away dining vouchers worth S$20 during the promotional period. Children also received an exclusive coloring book that keep them entertained while helping them practice their Mandarin Chinese skills. And following Haidilao tradition, we shared secret cheat codes through several Singaporean influencers and our own social media channels that would net secret gifts guests, including free trials for LingoAce classes, Haidilao toys, and LingoAce stickers.
All in all, it was a fun-filled experience for everyone who joined.
