Welcome, kids, to LingoAce Story Time! Today, Teacher Xiao Yu is going to tell you an idiomatic story about "Watching the Sky from the Bottom of a Well."
Let the story begin!

Once upon a time, there was a cheerful frog that lived in a shallow well. Every day, it would leap and enjoy the small grass at the bottom of the well and the blue sky at the well's opening. The frog thought this was the entire world and was very content. One day, a little turtle passed by, and the frog excitedly asked, "Friend, where are you from?" The turtle replied, "I come from the vast ocean." The frog confidently said, "Ribbit, the ocean is probably similar to my well!" The turtle chuckled and told the frog, "The ocean is boundless, and your well water is far from comparable."
The next day, a tiny dragon arrived at the well's edge. The frog, curious, asked, "Friend, where are you going?" The dragon replied, "I'm going to cross mountains, traverse rivers, and search for treasure!" The frog proudly said, "Ribbit, I also feel like an adventurer, leaping in my well every day!" The dragon smirked and told the frog, "I often go on adventures, touching the clouds atop high mountains. Compared to your well at the bottom, it's not even worth mentioning."

On the third day, a quirky rabbit approached the well. The frog, curious again, asked, "Friend, where are you heading?" The rabbit replied, "I'm going to the forest to collect leaves for crafting!" The frog boasted, "Ribbit, look at the big tree on my well's wall; its trunk is thick and lush!" The rabbit giggled and told the frog, "The variety of leaves in the forest is vast, quite different from the small grass by your well."
On the fourth day, a goose flew over the well's opening. The frog once again asked, "Friend, where are you from?" The goose responded, "I come from the north, flew a long, long way to take a break here!" The frog, feeling proud, said, "Ribbit, the well opening is so large, why fly so far?" The goose smiled and told the frog, "The world's vastness is unimaginable, and the well opening is just a tiny part of it."

he frog, after hearing these stories, felt curious and inspired. No longer satisfied with the confined world at the bottom of the well, it leaped out of the well opening. It discovered that the world was indeed vast—large trees, white clouds, the vast sea, towering mountains, and the expansive sky all left it in awe. Kids, this story tells us not to limit ourselves to our small worlds. We should bravely explore the unknown, seek to understand more, and truly comprehend the wonders of the world. It's wrong to "Watch the Sky from the Bottom of a Well"; instead, we should have the courage to leap out of the well opening and explore a broader world!

Question time!
The story is complete, and now there's a question for the kids: Do any of the kids know the lesson this story is trying to teach us?
The answer is revealed! When the little frog was at the bottom of the well, the world it saw was confined to the narrow space inside the well. But when it leaped out of the well opening and stood at a higher place, it discovered that the world was much larger than it had thought! Kids, in life, when looking at anything, we should also be careful not to just see what's immediately in front of us. We must stand tall to see far.
