LingoAce is hosting a virtual Chinese speech contest for young learners of all levels. We encourage parents and legal guardians of children (ages 3-18) to participate. This is a great opportunity for your child to showcase their Chinese language skills and earn awesome prizes!

Summer is just around the corner. What does your child wish to do?
Will this be the summer that they learn to swim? Maybe they want to start learning a new language, or play a sport they haven’t tried before. The possibilities are endless.
Have your child tell us their summer wish in a 15-30 second video.
PRIZES
LingoAce will help fund the summer wishes of contestants with the best speeches. Other prizes include official swag signed by LingoAce brand ambassador and former NBA player Jeremy Lin, books, and other learning resources.

HOW TO ENTER
Contest submissions must be completed by parents or legal guardians over the age of 18 who can consent to their child’s participation in this speech contest.
Parents or legal guardians may enter more than one video speech if they have multiple children. Only 1 video speech per child.
Videos should be 15-30-second in length.
Speeches must be made in Chinese to the best of your child’s language abilities. In the entry form, please state their language learning experience and proficiency level.
Your child should be the focus of the video, but other adults and children are welcome to ask questions off camera. We encourage you to be creative with different props and backgrounds in your video. Have fun with it!

JUDGING CRITERIA
All video speeches will be evaluated based on the following criteria: (75%) Chinese language proficiency for your child’s level, (15%) creativity, and (10%) presentation. More specifically, our panel of expert judges will rate the Chinese language skills based on your child’s pronunciation, sentence structures, vocabulary, and delivery.

Staff Pick of the Week
Each week, we’ll award 1 video entry as a “Staff Pick of the Week” which will be announced via email. These winners will receive exciting prizes, including Chinese language books from Bitty Bao or Habbi Habbi, learning resources from Chineasy, or LingoAce classes.
Top 5 Winners
At the close of the contest, our panel of expert judges will review and rate each entry. Winners will be selected from among all the entries using the judging criteria listed above. Every entry submitted will be considered, including the winners of the “Staff Pick of the Week.” The winners be announced via email by June 20, 2023.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The virtual Chinese speech contest (hereafter “contest”) hosted by LingoAce Academy, Inc. (hereafter “LingoAce”) is open to all U.S. residents.
Videos speeches and the online entry form (hereafter “entries”) must be completed and submitted by parents or legal guardians over the age of 18 who can consent to their child’s participation in this contest (hereafter “entrants”). Entrants will be required to confirm their consent and verify their age on the entry form.
All Video submissions must be received by 11:59 PM PT on June 13th, 2023, unless otherwise extended by LingoAce. Winners will be announced by June 20th, 2023.
LingoAce may publish select video entries on the company's official social media channels to announce the winners of the contest. All entrants will be asked to grant their consent on the entry form. Only video submissions granted permission will be considered for publication.
LingoAce reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest for any reason, including but not limited to any act of god, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the contest. In such a case, LingoAce may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by LingoAce.
LingoAce reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates the Terms. You agree to accept LingoAce’s oversight and decisions as final and binding, as it relates to the contest and prizes.
Winner selection and notification: Winners of the competition will be selected under the supervision of LingoAce. Winners will be notified via email used to enter the contest within ten (10) business days following the winner announcements. LingoAce shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to winners’ spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner(s) cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 15 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner(s) selected.
Prizes are considered taxable income regardless of whether the prize is in the form of classes or merchandise.
By participating in the contest, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by the Terms listed above and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein.
